Mausoleum
This mausoleum is constructed of granite and concrete. It was erected on the 10th of July, 1956. As the need arose, additions were completed and the mausoleum was enlarged, with the final addition being completed on the 15th of December, 1998. It has been serving families ever since.
A mausoleum is an external free-standing building constructed as a monument containing the interment space or burial chamber of the deceased. The word derives from Mausoleum of Maussollos the grave of King Mausollos, the Persian satrap of Caria, whose large tomb was one of the seven wonders of the world.
The mausoleum at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery has numerous full size crypts and small niches for the interment of an urn. The building has seating inside and is open during normal business hours.
